HEARTWOOD MEDIA HELPS $6 BILLION RETAILER DEVELOP NEW TRAINING SYSTEM FOR ITS 7,000 PERSON SALES FORCE
Creates a totally new selling system for Carpet One, a division of CCA Global Partners.

[MANCHESTER, NH] – Heartwood Media, an award-winning Manchester-based video and new media production company, recently released a training program for Carpet One. This program is being used to educate salespeople to use the new SELECTAFLOOR sales and merchandising system.

Carpet One needed a way to tell a complicated — but compelling story —in a way that was easily understood by salespeople. The solution was a series of video tapes and an interactive quiz on CD-ROM that uses video, graphics, animation, sound effects, and text to train the sales force on how to approach customers, use the selling system and improve sales.

The videos feature an on-camera narrator and a series of short vignettes that show some of the stumbling blocks and proper approaches to carpet sales. The interactive quiz, “Who Wants to be a SELECTAFLOOR Expert” is styled after the popular “Millionaire” show and features questions, sound effects and a chance to be entered into a contest.

“Heartwood helped us to deliver our training message with a comprehensive and compelling interactive training package. Each piece of the program captivates both the retail sales person as well as the store owner and we have received excellent (unsolicited!) feedback from those in the field who are using the materials." said Sally Kelly, Director of Merchandising and Marketing Training for CCA Global Partners. "It’s great to work with a group that delivers even more then what is promised!”

“This project was a great example of using a variety of media to educate and train,” said Chris Conroy, Creative Director of Heartwood Media. “The first video we produced created excitement in the sales force. The second video delivered the training and the CD-ROM tested them on their knowledge."
