HEARTWOOD MEDIA HELPS LAKES ASSOCIATION SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT MILFOIL
Creates educational and promotional video for organization

[MANCHESTER, NH] – Heartwood Media, an award-winning video and new media production company, recently completed two videos for the New Hampshire Lakes Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting New Hampshire’s lakes and ponds.

The educational video is designed to educate boaters, lake residents and the general public about the threats posed by milfoil, an invasive weed infecting many NH lakes and ponds. It features interviews with residents, biologists, and lake enthusiasts throughout the state.

The Lake Host promotional video is being used to encourage individuals to become Lake Hosts, and shows them how to interact with the public during a typical boat inspection.

“We’re using the video at all our Lake Host Training events,“ said Nancy Christie, President of the New Hampshire Lakes Association. “We’ve also mailed out over 500 copies of the videos to local lake associations and conservation commissions. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.”

“Education and training are two of the best uses for video,” said Chris Conroy, Creative Director of Heartwood Media Inc. “The NH Lakes Association now has a concise, consistent message about milfoil and the ways to prevent its spread.”
